Misuse of Blasphemy In Pakistan – The Holy Quran Burning Case

We all know about the news which was in air few days ago about the girl who was caught in case of burning Quran. And according to NEWS she has been released on the verdict of court while the man who reported the case against the girl has been arrested. Although the story was shared in our previous post “New Blasphemy Case in Pakistan”, but if you just want to read the highlights let me put the light on it here:
In the Rural area of Mehrabadi, an 11- year old girl, named Rimsha Masih, was arrested in the case of burning the pages of holy Quran. She was arrested by police of Ramna police Station on August 16 on burning the Nurani Qaida and then throwing it in Dust Bin putting in a plastic bag. Well that was the iinitial story.
After keeping the innocent Rimsha in Jail for few days, a new story came on channels that results in releasing her and arresting the man who blame her. A boy told to GEO, one of the news channels of Pakistan, that he found the burnt papers on which few Arabic verses were written, he brought those papers to Imam of near mosque to ask either these are the pages of Quran or something else and told that he found these in front of a home of a Christian family. And the so called Imam took some pages of Quran, lit the fire and after putting those papers in bag sent the guy to bring POLICE and announced on mosque speaker about the act of girl and asked people to beat them.
As the case was in court and all politicians were having a look at it and trying to sort it out, due to the inner and other Christian countries pressure. The news was on the channels of many countries but after this everything has been changed.
We all know how strict Islamic Rules are for Blasphemy, so people use this against their enemies too. We have read such news before too. And who ever try to cut out this law is considered as the Non Muslim. I am not in the favour of cutting this rule out. But Government should take step for it. We, Pakistanis, are very emotional and took decision from heart not from mind. But in such sensitive cases we should think before leap.
And to stop misuse of this law Government should punish the man in jail if he is really culprit, so that from the next time no one dare to blame anyone who just can’t think of doing so….
